A lifelong aviation enthusiast, Bruce Greenwood founded Blue Sky Detailing out of a passion for aviation and a commitment to excellence. With decades of experience in the aviation services and maintenance sector, Bruce built the foundation for a company that values quality, trust, and professionalism above all else.

With almost 3 decades of hands-on experience in the general aviation industry including aircraft sales, flight operations and regulatory framwork, charter sales and marketing, aircraft detailing and maintenance , Kevin Heitman brings both leadership and a deep respect for the craft of aircraft care.
Under Kevin’s direction, Blue Sky Detailing has expanded its reach and strengthened its reputation for precision detailing, eco-friendly practices, and customer-first service. His focus on sustainability has guided the company’s partnership with Aero Cosmetics and its commitment to carbon-conscious operations.

Founder: Bruce Greenwood Blue Sky Detailing began with a single aircraft, a bucket of determination, and Bruce’s belief that detailing should meet the same precision and professionalism as aviation maintenance itself. His passion for flight and detail led to the creation of a company dedicated to excellence on every surface.
Word spread quickly across local airfields. Pilots, aircraft owners, and FBOs recognized Blue Sky Detailing for its reliability, consistency, and craftsmanship.
The business grew through referrals - proof that quality work always takes off.
As the aviation community’s needs evolved, so did we. Blue Sky Detailing expanded its team and service offerings, becoming known for premium aircraft detailing with a personal touch.
This was the beginning of a new era in operational efficiency and customer care - a foundation that continues today.
Under the direction of President Kevin Heitman, and with the operational expertise of Joshua Calder, Blue Sky Detailing entered a new phase of innovation. With a strong focus on carbon reduction, eco-friendly materials, and operational excellence, the company refined its processes while staying true to its founding values.
The company took a major step forward by adopting Aero Cosmetics’ water-based, biodegradable product line and implementing a repackaging system that rebottles over 4,000 – 16oz spray bottles annually from bulk 5-gallon containers. This milestone marked the start of Blue Sky Detailing’s sustainability initiative, drastically reducing waste and environmental impact.
